Darlington Mowden Park are delighted to announce the signing of Dylan Thompson ahead of the 2024/25 season. The back row / second row joins from Penrith, and was involved in Saturday's pre-season fixture at Sedgley Park. Asked about his switch to the North East, Thompson said: "I'm excited to join the club and and getting stuck into the a new league."

The 20 year-old becomes the latest player to join the squad, and will be available for this weekend's pre-season fixture against Hull at the Arena. Speaking about his latest signing, DMP Director of Rugby Garry Law added: "Another player who is making the step up from lower league rugby. Dylan has quietly gone about his business during pre season and has shown that he will leave his actions on the pitch to do the talking. He is an old school 7 and is going to add real competition to an exciting backrow this season. He is still young so I'm sure we will see some great development over time."
