With the 2016/17 season just around the corner we take a look at what’s in store for our away followers this season.

WHO: Hartpury College RFC

WHERE: College Stadium, Hartpury College, Hartpury House Gloucester. GL19 3BE
Hartpury College is on the A417, 4 miles north of Gloucester.

By Train
The nearest train station is Gloucester.

From the M5:
Leave at Junction 11 and follow the A40 towards Gloucester. At the first roundabout, turn towards Ross-on-Wye. At the third roundabout, take the A417 towards Ledbury. After leaving Maisemore, the College is signposted at the second turning on the left.

From the M50:
Leave at Junction 2 and follow the A417 south towards Gloucester to Hartpury. Continue for approximately 10 miles. The College is signposted to the right.

INFO: Hartpury College contains six beautiful grass pitches, three football and three rugby, provide rugby, women’s rugby and football players with professional quality playing surfaces. The main, floodlit, rugby pitch includes a 450 capacity stand and dugouts whilst two other pitches allow for three teams at a time play. The main football pitch is also floodlit with dugouts and provides players with a flat surface ideal for their development.

Two 3G (rubber crumb), all-weather surfaces provide an all year round option for training and matches, if necessary. One is tested to IRB regulations and contains rugby posts and full pitch markings. The other is fully FA certified and contains full-size and 6-a-side goals as well as full football and rugby pitch markings.

WHO: Director of Rugby Alan Martinovic

WHEN: In last season’s two fixtures Hartpury were 50-7 winners at the College Stadium while Mowden Park were 36-27 at The Northern Echo Arena.

WHAT: Hartpury College RFC also has excellent links with Aviva Premiership side Gloucester Rugby, whose training base is located adjacent to the first-team pitch at Hartpury. The close relationship between the two has seen a number of dual-registered players, all of who are current or recently departed Hartpury students, pulling on the red and black Hartpury jersey as well as the Cherry and Whites strip.
