Forwards Coach Joe Cain commented: "We’ve been focusing so far on just getting the lads back up to speed in terms of their skills and fitness. It’s been great to get the playing group back together, old faces and new faces. There’s a good buzz about the group which is great to see this early into pre season."

Having announced a raft of re-signings last week, the existing group were joined by a number of new arrivals who will be announced in the coming weeks. The squad will come together again on Tuesday for their first midweek session of the summer, with 6 weeks to go until their first pre-season fixture against Hawick on Saturday 17th August at the Arena.

Looking ahead to their continued preparations, Cain added: "We’ll look to add more technical and tactical elements into training sessions over the next few weeks in preparation for our pre season games. It’s important we get the new players up to speed with how we want to play and what suits us as a squad best."
