Darlington Mowden Park RFC beat Ryton RFC 40-13 in the final of the Durham under 16’s County Cup at West Hartlepool RFC on Sunday, a great achievement after a good season for the team.

Lead Coach Dave Hill commented: "All the U16’s coaches are very proud of a great bunch of lads that have come together from a variety of schools, trained, had fun and played hard over the years and this season it resulted in this great win after a difficult set of qualifying matches. As coaches, they are a great group of lads to work with. We look forward to next season now building on this.
