Loose head prop Darren FEARN bulldozed his way for a hat-trick of tries in a 38-minute period, which paved the way ultimately for the 40 - 14 win over a misfiring Fylde RFC.
Both clubs highlighted key injuries prior to the game, with different options being tried by both sets of coaches in the forwards and backs.
A somewhat lacklustre DMPRFC took 15 minutes to warm up, although they had a glut of possession during that time, but failed to capitalise with any points.
Even when Darren FEARN rumbled over for his first try in the eighteenth minute, that gave no indication of what was to follow, as Fylde RFC matched their hosts.
There seemed to be more fire in the tackling of the hosts and this was to tell as the game progressed, as several Fylde players were replaced.
FEARN's first try came from pressure on the visitors line, when FEARN popped up and quite literally carried two defenders over with him in the act of scoring (5 - 0). Warren SEALS took the conversion from wide out, but the kick just went wide of the right upright, in what was to be his only miss of the afternoon.
Although the next two scores from hat-trick heron FEARN were no 40 yard runs, the close range scores still need scoring and this he did with ease, in what was his best game for DMPRFC since arriving at the club.
The other two tries were converted by SEALS and in between them, a Fylde try from centre Scott Rawlings, which he himself converted, was all that the visitors had to show for their efforts (19 - 7).
Unfortunately, Fylde No. 8 Sam Beaumont (younger son of Bill Beaumont who, together with his wife were visitors to the Arena on the day) received a shoulder injury right on half time, which meant the end of his game and his extreme bad luck with major injuries continued.
His parents therefore had their match day cut short in transporting him back to hospital on the West coast and all at DMPRFC wish him well in his recovery.
So with the game at 19 - 7 at oranges, it was for DMPRFC to take hold of the game and finish it off as early as possible, wanting no repeat of the second half fightback witnessed in the game back at Fylde in late 2015.
Very early on in the second half this was assured, as in the the 46th minute, after sustained pressure in and around the visitor's line via pick and drives from the forwards, veteran lock Talite VAIOLETI barged his way over (24 - 7). SEALS converted easily (26 - 7).
By this time, with Fylde's heads down and resigned to the inevitable, even at this stage, it was all DMPRFC and from a training ground move, Peter HOMAN cut a line to touch down near the posts, after a break from the base of a scrum by scrum half Bruno BRAVO had paved the way (31 - 7). Again SEALS converted (33 - 7).
BRAVO himself was issued a yellow card shortly afterwards, for the innocuous tripping an opponent in the act of taking a quick tap penalty.
However, this did not alter the momentum of the home side, as Jamie BARNARD scored the sixth try, rounding the defence to touchdown in the corner (38 - 7). Again and from wide out, SEALS kicked the conversion (40 - 7).
A late rally from Fylde saw replacement Philip Mills score a consolation try for the visitors (40 - 12), converted again by Scott Rawlings (40 - 14), but it was all too little, too late for Fylde RFC, as DMPRFC took all five points on offer, lifting them one place higher in National League One to sixth, as Esher RFC lost to struggling Cinderford RFC, who are putting up a fight.
Next week, away at Coventry RFC.
