This afternoon saw members of Mowden Park’s 1st XV travel to Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College Abbey Road Playing Fields for a training session with the QE Academy Students. The session formed part of the ongoing partnership between the club and QE Academy, and gave the young players a chance to learn from DMP’s best. Mowden Park’s coaching staff put the QE lads through their paces with a number of skill based drills and conditioned games.

Academy Manager Michael Garmston was delighted with the afternoon’s rugby: “The Academy players thoroughly enjoyed the session, and the opportunity to learn from their more experienced counterparts. They’re all keen to do it again and so I hope we can continue to put on these sessions in the future.”
