Darlington Mowden Park can confirm that Jordon Poole, Matt Heaton and Jake Brady will leave the club prior to the 2019/20 National One season.
Hooker Jordon Poole will leave the club having signed for Gallagher Premiership side Exeter Chiefs. Poole has made 38 appearances in 2 standout seasons for Mowden, since his arrival from Championship side Yorkshire Carnegie in 2017, scoring 4 tries.
Openside Matt Heaton will leave the club after 3 stellar seasons as he focusses on Canada’s upcoming Rugby World Cup campaign in Japan. Signed from Otley prior to the 16/17 season, he has scored 7 tries in 59 appearances and has captained the 1st XV throughout this season.
Second row Jake Brady has decided to move on this summer, after making 52 National One appearances in 2 seasons at the club. Signed from National 2 North side Harrogate in 2017, Brady has been ever-present in the 2nd row alongside Joe Craggs and Talite Vaioleti, scoring 4 tries in his time with the club.
Mowden Park Director of Rugby commented: “We’re sorry to see the three lads leave. All of them have been a big influence on the squad and the club as a whole and I’d like to thank them for their outstanding contributions over recent seasons. We wish them all the very best in the future.”
