A huge congratulations to our U18 Girls captain Meg Owen. She has been invited to the Welsh Rugby Union Exiles training camp in Nottingham on Tuesday 13th February. This is a great opportunity for her to progress in her rugby journey. In the past 7 years Meg has represented her club, county and the North East on numerous occasions.

Gemma Burton commented: "As head of the Women's and Girl's Section here at Mowden I am so proud of Meg and all she has achieved. She has grown into an amazing young lady and hopefully this is the next step to representing her country."

Meg added: "I'm very excited to be going and I wouldn't have got where I am without the help and support from all the coaches at Mowden over the last 7 years, along with the Durham County and Centre of Excellence coaches. I have gained so much knowledge and understanding of the game which has helped me improve my play."
