RFU Confirm Final National One Standings

Mowden end the 2019/20 season in 7th place.

Following the early end of the rugby season in England as a result of COVID-19, The Rugby Football Union has announced the final league positions.

Proposals from the RFU governance committee to conclude the season for those leagues at both professional and community level were yesterday ratified by the RFU Council.

It was agreed that final standings for the Greene King IPA Championship and men’s and women’s community game would be calculated on a best playing record formula maintaining promotion and relegation for those leagues.

Congratulations to Richmond who have topped the table and will be promoted back to the Greene King IPA Championship for next season. They will trade places will Yorkshire Carnegie who finished bottom of the Championship this season. At the other end of the table, Rotherham, Canterbury and Hull Ionians will be relegated to Level 4. Caldy will return to National One after finishing the season as National Two North champions, with Taunton Titans and Tonbridge Juddians promoted from National Two South.
