Fresh faced from an unbeaten final season in minis the U13s were keen and enthusiastic to progress and broaden their playing horizons. Now in charge of their own fixtures we had opportunities to travel further afield at make new friends, and we get to wear ties post match – the concept of taking a shower is something that some may have to work on though!
Unfortunately, between the wet weather and COVID-19 it didn’t quite go according to plan - however we still managed to fulfil 12 fixtures including games at Penrith, Northern and Tynedale and a trip to the Selby 10’s festival to abruptly end the season, so new experiences abound, including a number of the squad representing DMP with their first taste of the County DPP program.
Most importantly we’ve welcomed some new members and had a lot of fun on the way, so here’s to a global recovery and the opportunity to go again next year.
