Darlington Mowden Park RFC can confirm that their application for DMP Sharks to enter Championship North for the 2023/24 season has been provisionally accepted by the RFU.

This marks an important step in growing and protecting the women’s game in the region, whilst maintaining a competitive pathway for the next generation of players.

Work can now begin to build the Sharks programme for next season, with the ongoing support from principal partners Vodafone and other key stakeholders on a local and regional level.

Following the departure of Programme Manager Mark Luffman earlier this week, the club will now begin the recruitment process for a new Head Coach with details to be announced shortly.

Any players interested in joining the Sharks for the upcoming season are encouraged to get in touch, with fixtures for the 2023/24 Championship North season to be announced in due course.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to everyone who has supported the Sharks this season, and we encourage you to continue to get behind the team as they enter a new chapter.
